Classic original Billynou overalls.

These overalls are a one-off, made by me from a gorgeous medium-weight vintage French linen sourced here in France. This linen is very high quality; it feels light to wear and has a lovely drape. A very versatile garment that can be worn through all seasons with a little more or less layering.

They are an oversized design, originally conceptualized for comfortable pregnancy wear. The design has changed a little over time, and we suggest sizing up if you are pregnant to accommodate a bump. Similarly, if you are unsure which size to choose, we always suggest sizing up — because, let’s face it, baggy is always better!

These overalls have been naturally ice-dyed, creating beautiful, unpredictable patterns on the fabric. The colours come from pomegranate.

Ellie is size S/M and 167 cm tall.

Ceilidh is size M/L and 175 cm tall.

Care instructions: wash cool with pH-neutral detergent. Colours may vary slightly due to lighting.

A note on natural dyes: natural dyes are often described as “living colour.” They have a charm and personality unlike chemical dyes, with the higher energetic vibration of life. This does mean some colours may vary or fade over time. Treat these pieces with love and care: keep them out of sunlight when not wearing them and wash gently with cool water and pH-neutral soaps.

Please also note that I use vintage fabric not only for its beautiful qualities but also because it already exists, avoiding the production of new material. This means that, despite the utmost care taken when choosing the fabric, there may occasionally be minimal signs of age.

Some BillyNou garments are made to order. This is important to our ethos, as it helps eliminate waste and unnecessary production. Please allow 2–3 weeks for your garment to be processed. This is an estimate; in practice we endeavour to achieve a much faster production time. Naturally dyed garments and garments made with vintage fabric are excluded from this timeframe and are listed only when available.

Items are shipped from France. If you are ordering from outside Europe, please make sure you know your country’s customs rules, as you may be charged import tax upon receiving your items. This is not part of the postage cost and is your responsibility to pay.

All garments should be washed with care. Ideally on a low temperature with an eco detergent (PH neutral for naturally dyed products). This is not just to keep your garment in good condition for longer but to be kinder to the environment too.

Woolen garments should either be dry cleaned or hand washed gently with cool water and dried flat.
