Madder is an ancient dye plant used for it’s range of colours from turkey red to orange, peach and pinks. Purples and near blacks can also be achieved in conjunction with other dyes.
A minimum of three years is required to bring the reds in the madder root to maturity.

This particular madder is organically and lovingly grown on a small scale farm in Guernsey, Channel islands.
