Dyers Coreopsis otherwise known as "Tick seed" which as seed goes are indeed tiny and aptly named.
The coreopsis plant flowers in a profusion or orange and yellow blooms with red markings. Smells like honey, and a friend to bees.
Coreopsis offers orange yellows through coppery reds all dependant on your choice of materials, mordant, fabric or yarn.
Start seeds in tray and pot up before planting out, will likely require support to retain upright poster, Height 50 - 90 cm. Plant 30cm apart. water in. Will over winter under cover.
Sow January to October, Flowers, May through September/ October or if rotational planting under cover you will have flowers all year.
