M/L Fairy top / mermaid blue / linen

€130.00

A lovely summer top with a big, flower-fairy–inspired frill.

This is a new style for the season — so pretty and flattering. These gathered styles are all individual, cut without a pattern and with virtually no waste. I like to sit with the fabric and decide in the moment details like the length of the frill, staying true to the oversized vibe BillyNou is all about, with that statement-piece feel.

This top is a one-off and made by me from the most gorgeous medium/lightweight vintage French linen, sourced by me here in France. It is naturally hand-dyed with indigo and weld.

This particular top is a size M/L with a bust measurement of 92 cm. Ceilidh is size M/L and 170 cm tall.

Care instructions: Wash cool with a pH-neutral detergent. Colours may vary slightly due to lighting.

A note on natural dyes: Natural dyes are often described as “living colour.” They have a charm and personality very unlike chemical dyes, with a much higher energetic vibration of life. This does mean some colours may vary or fade over time. It is important to treat these pieces with love and care: keep them out of sunlight when not wearing and wash gently with cool water and pH-neutral soaps.

Please also note that I use vintage fabric not only for its beautiful qualities but also because it already exists, avoiding the production of new material. This does mean that, even though the utmost care is taken when choosing fabric, there may occasionally be minimal signs of age.

Some Billynou garments are made to order. This is important to our ethos as it helps eliminate waste and unnecessary production. Bearing this in mind, please allow 2–3 weeks for your garment to be processed. This is an estimate; in reality we endeavour to achieve a much faster production time. This excludes naturally dyed garments and garments made with vintage fabric, which are only listed when available.

Items are shipped from France. If you are ordering from outside Europe, please make sure you know the customs rules of your country, as you may be charged import tax upon receiving your items. This is not part of the postage cost and is your responsibility to pay

All garments should be washed with care. Ideally on a low temperature with an eco detergent (PH neutral for naturally dyed products). This is not just to keep your garment in good condition for longer but to be kinder to the environment too.

Woolen garments should either be dry cleaned or hand washed gently with cool water and dried flat.
